A bathing beauty from the 20's is enjoying the sun appears as the face of this creative pendant bringing memories of the beach life of years ago….as well as today!
Created with a simple bezel pendant the transfer photo of our sweet bathing beauty is centered and covered with protective resin that is 'bubbling up' with what looks like water drops. The back is then filled with textured sand like clay that is stamped with her feet and the words "Sun, Sand, Sea With ME". I can just hear he saying this back in the 1920's!
Shells and baubles and beads that look like sea glass are strategically places top and bottom to surround her with the colors of the sea and sand and grasses that populate beaches everywhere.
The luckiest find for me as an artist was discovering this variegated ribbon whose colors perfectly goes with the focal pendant and beads! Not wanting to cut even an inch off of it I created an adjustable necklace whose length can change with a quick pull but stays in place wherever you want it. Long or short you can take the beach with you wherever you go!
The cord has a little give to it so it will extend from 16" to 30".
