"Where has the time gone?" is the verse on the banner across the front of this purse size case with a rose pink splash of flowers and travel stamps that ACTUALLY OPENS!
Enjoy the Journey has a my signature bluebird taking a trip on her travel nest case that is splashed with a garden of pink colored flowers and leaves. She sits on the banner on front just watching the time for the ride to begin! A record of her trips is displayed by the travel stamps on every side of the case with a dangling ID tag tied to the handle.
THE CASE ACTUALLY OPENS and can hold small trinkets and notes and stickers and memories from you trips! It sits securely on the bottom feet but it is best to be sure the little brass latch is closed to stabilize the case. Please handle carefully.
The clock face is battery run, with a pull tab to start it. The clock can be removed from its home in the house and the time adjusted with the pull pin, then replaced.
Clocks have become my passion project. Thinking beyond time and space each one is a functional piece of art that evokes an emotion or memory of a place and time. Everything is designed around that idea and hopefully points to something in each of us that is creative and fun.
Beginning with wooden or cardboard forms, my clocks are made with disparate pieces and are assembled to be the host for the layers upon layers of colorful polymer clay. Taking many hours of work, each piece of clay is created from single blocks of color, combined, cut, stamped, manipulated and assembled into patterns. Small pieces are individually formed and gilded or strung across the surfaces of the clay to build up a design.
Nothing starts with a fully formed design or pattern but rather takes its own path as it is being built. Did I say that it takes HOURS of work? Yes, but to me it is also hours of fulfillment to carry the work thru the process to arrive at a beautiful and fun piece of art.
Each clock is securely assembled and the clay cured in place to be sturdy for light handling….BUT THESE ARE NOT FOR SMALL CHILDREN! Use care when handling because tiny pieces can be broken off and cannot be replaced.
These are one of a kind pieces of art! As such they are each signed, dated and copyrighted.
Enjoy the journey is approx 6.5" high and 7" across it's widest part and 3" deep.
