This unique handcrafted carousel design is a one of a kind sculptural desk clock providing a palatial habitat for our lovely bird friends. A functional piece of art to enjoy for years to come. Each piece is created in polymer clay by the skillful hands of Linda Stiles Smith in turquoise, ivory and deep copper red. 

Each clock design is a combination of the inner core of the form and the mood that it creates in the maker. Nothing is made by machine as the idea starts to take shape on the artists sketchbook and bench. 

Each part is unique to this clock from the original patterning of the clay to the tendrils of from the patchwork roof of the round shape. Our little bird is ready to jump on the perch but her hole is filled with a small quartz clock movement. 

Just like an actual carousel, the clock can be positioned in any direction to enjoy the designs and colors all around the circumference. The small ball feet lift it up off the table for better viewing and are decorated to match the overall design. 

The main surprise of this clock is the message etched into the back of the clock. It reminds us of life as well as the turning of the carousel - "We do not remember DAYs, we remember MOMENTS." How true is that!

The clock face is battery run and removable from its nest to adjust the time for your needs. It can be carefully lifted out and replaced  when needed. 

9" tall and 4.5" across it will work as well on a shelf as a desk.
