Piecing the New Year Together in Clay

Piecing the new year together in clay

Ā

šŸŽ‰ Every new year is a time for people to evaluate what they did last year and what they want to do in the new year. Our businessĀ economic system is actually based on doing this. Its a time to take account of what happened and what is plannedā€¦on paper at least.

Does it actually work?

We've all heard the stories of people who make plans to change then in less than the first week abandon those plans. We just have a hard time committing to something new and different.Ā

If we want it or not we are facing a brand new year with a different perspective. This new year is going to be different in a lot of ways. Plans are being laid to help us all prosper and thrive.Ā

And it's exciting!

Some things that just aren't serving us well need to be left behind. For us that was making clay tools. We love to do it, but the cost and time to fight the knockoffs and algorithms just wasn't worth it anymore. After all, we are supposedĀ to be retired aren't we? At least that is what the world tells us four our chronological ages.

Sorry world, we have other plans.Ā

Although the list is quite long, we will just do what God tells us to do and start here and keep moving forward. One step at a time. Though that is nothing new, what will be different is less social media and more blogging.Ā Promise!

Our biggest change started to occur in November 24. Shifting from selling tools here to showcasing our fine art jewelry, decor and painting. There is a lot left to add, Ā but we keep working at it as much as we can.Ā

What is our focus for the new year?Ā

Reaching out to you and suggesting ways you can LIVE LIKE AN ARTIST!

The photo above is what is on my bench right now. Polymer clay canes are designs in parts - think kaleidoscope - that when put together create a beautiful pattern on a larger scale. These little cane slices will become more trinket dishes for our TrinketsĀ Collection >> HEREĀ
