What came first? Glass or Metal?
When 2 minds work together the result is a fabulously distinctive work if art of wear.
First rods of colored glass are formed in a flame to a swirl of color that is only seen after being pulled from the flame. Dale expertly provides the starting point for the creation.
Then Linda shaped balls of cork clay and left them to dry. Precious Metal Clay in a syringe she then squeezed it out to cover the cork balls and with similar swirls and swoops. The balls were fired in a ceramic kiln to burn out the cork center and leave a hollow, light weight fine silver bead.

Won best of show in the national Lapidary Journal International Bead Arts Competition.
Fine 99.9% Silver hollow beads with sterling silver forged hook clasp 8″ long.
Inspried by the bead makers work of Swirling glass in a hot flame to place and blend colors of the sky. The openwork silver beads allows the light to peak thru the forest like openings.
